Ingredients for a sponge cake

6 Eggs
60 gm Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
100 ml Milk
110 gm Flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Spice Essence
2 Tablespoons Oil or melted Butter

Method

Separate yolks and the whites. Beat yolks till smooth. Add in milk, oil and then sifted dry ingredients to mix well. Beat whites with cream of tartar. Add the sugar and beat till stiff and firm but not dry. Mix the two mixtures together and bake in 8 inch round at 160C/170C till done.

Ingredients for decoration:

1 can (16 ounces) chocolate frosting
Chocolate sprinkles
Candy corn
Mini marshmallows
Green candy-coated chocolate pieces, such as M&M's
1 tube each black and orange decorating frosting
Red licorice laces

Directions

1. Using a 3-1/2-inch round cookie cutter, cut out 2 sponge cakes.
3. Cover the cakes with chocolate frosting. Place chocolate sprinkles around edge of cakes. Put candy corn on for ears. Cut marshmallows in half, then place on cakes cut side up. Press on M&M's for eyes. Use black tube frosting to pipe slits on M&M's; use orange frosting to create noses. Trim licorice and place on cakes for whiskers.
