Cranberry and Popcorn Christmas Garland
Christmas Crafts- USA
Making this tasty Christmas garland may require parental supervision unless you have older children who are capable with a needle and thread. You can try using a bobbin (blunt needle especially for younger children), or you may want to put the holes in the cranberries yourself before your child sits down to thread the Christmas garland. Nevertheless they make an elegant and easy to make Christmas decoration for any home.
You'll Need
Sturdy Needle Heavy thread or dental floss Fresh Cranberries Popped corn (without added butter)
Thread the needle and tie a knot at the end of thread to hold all your goodies in place. Carefully push the needle through the cranberry. You might like to use a chopping board or other non-slippery surface to push down on. Slide the cranberry down to the end of the thread and keep repeating with a pattern of popcorn and cranberries. Tie a knot at the end, leaving some thread to tie your Christmas garland up or to attach to other garlands to make a really long garland to decorate a whole room.
**TIP- Cook your popcorn the day before and allow it to sit out overnight to make it a little stale so that it is easier to work with.
After the season is over hang your Christmas garland outside for the local birds to feast on!
