iPod Touch
The iPod Touch is the newest of the iPod models with the first generation being released in 2007. The 2nd generation was released in 2008 with improved battery life, volume buttons and built-in speaker. The sleek stainless steel design and high-resolution picture on the 3.5inch widescreen makes the Touch the best model for video watching and gaming.
It is also the only model (aside from the iPhone) with wireless access to the web giving you the ability for multi-player gaming, online shopping, reading news and watching videos, as well as access to the iTunes store. The Touch is available with either 8gb (2,000 songs/8 hours of video), 16gb (4,000 songs/16 hours of video) and 32gb (7,000 songs, 40 hours of video).
The coolest feature for game players is the built-in accelerometer which responds to your movements, so you can tilt and turn your iPod touch to control the action. It’s perfect for racing games, where your entire iPod touch acts as a steering wheel, and for tap-and-tilt games, in which your character rolls to your movements as well as precise fingertip control over mouse movements.
